Interview

In this interview I will get to know how our grandfathers live their life in the past and how they spent their days. I have my uncle Ahmed to tell me more of how the UAE was in the past and what things they used to do. My uncle Ahmed is 57 years old and he has lived his life in the UAE and was born there. I asked him first what makes you healthy and strong and live a healthy life without getting weak. And he said: "before we used to eat healthy and do traditional sports to get strong and to prevent the sickness to get us and as you can see now from what we used to do we stayed alive and did not suffer from anything". 

Then I asked him what sports he did? He said:"we used to live near the sea which is in Sharjah and go to the sea and dive and swim for almost 9 hours every day". In the past they used to sail and dive a lot and they used to know how to build ships without having to use computers or modern equipment. Other than that I asked my uncle Ahmed what else did you do in the sea? He replied: "we used to make racing sailboats and make a competition and race with them and that also we considered it like the best sport to get healthy".

 Also I asked him what women used to do in their daily life. He said:" women used so take care of the house and the farm; also they used to knit or weave to make clothes or to spend their time in something useful. In 1998 they chose Sharjah city as the cultural capital for Arabs until today. Until today the UAE cultural club maintains the traditional sports of diving or racing sailboats and does activities in order to keep our culture alive.

Case Study Reflection

I worked in a group within 3 students from my class, because the case study needed more stuff and organization to make it.

We all agreed to choose the Fairmont Bab Albahar hotel because this is like a good place to go and enjoy. We decided to collect our information by contacting the hotel reception and making an appointment with any employee which can take us around the hotel and managed how we took the information by recording them and making a video because this will be the best way to present the case study.

I found that we took it seriously and prepared questions that related to the subject. Also I took advantage of the interview to develop myself in the future.

The destination that we chose is a hotel so it's more known in many places so I didn't expected different results or answers, rather than the good atmosphere and the rates.

This case study may help to choose the best hotel and enjoy and relax, this what people sometimes do in weekend if they want to spend a good time in a place with the best hotel. The photography was the issue so we developed this skill through the case study; also we had to make sure how to interview a person. My results will be helpful to another people because this will leave a good impression in my organization that I chose.

I would upgrade technical stuff in the video we used such as the camera sound that was good but not perfect and editing program that we used.
